Job summary

New River Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Pharmacy Technician Instructor in the Workforce Development unit. The candidate will plan and organize all classes, maintain records, and coordinate hands-on experiences in the classroom and practicum placements in Pulaski, VA.

The successful candidate must be a pharmacist with a current unrestricted license or a pharmacy technician with at least one year of technician experience who holds a current unrestricted Virginia

Qualifications

• Must be a pharmacist with a current unrestricted license or a pharmacy technician with at least one year of technician experience and a current unrestricted Virginia registration or a current PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize all classes taught.
• Keep accurate records of student work and competencies.
• Identify equipment and supplies with the coordinator to provide hands-on classroom experience.
• Place students in practicum experiences with the coordinator.
