Mercy Springfield is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our Pharmacy team. In this role, you'll work alongside pharmacists and healthcare professionals to help ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and timely medication services.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Active registration with State Board of Pharmacy or willingness to obtain by start date.
CPHT certification required within six months of hire.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Enter patient and medication information into EPIC.
Prepare medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
Retrieving, counting, packaging, and labeling medications accurately.
Assist with sterile compounding preparation and training as applicable.
Fill medication orders and prescriptions in a timely manner.
Receive, stock, and maintain medication inventory.
Deliver medications to patients and nursing units after pharmacist verification.
Preparing medications for delivery or shipment.
Processing returned medications and credits when appropriate.
Conducting patient follow-up calls as needed.
Follow hazardous waste, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
Monitor assigned areas for outdated medications.
Maintain pharmacy equipment and cleanliness standards.
Prioritize tasks based on patient and operational needs.
Participate in department meetings, huddles, and training activities.
Assist with onboarding and training of new coworkers.
