Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Technician for the Enterprise Pharmacy - Transitions of Care Services in Acute Care. Eligible candidate will obtain medication histories and support the care team to ensure accurate documentation and efficient patient care.

Required are state license, PTCB or ExCPT certification, and a high school diploma with 3 years in health care or pharmacy. Pay ranges from $24.10 to $36.15 per hour with alternating weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology preferred for NC technicians with validating responsibilities.
• Registration/Licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Health Career Association (ExCPT).
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in health care, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background.

• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient services.
