Job summary

Medix™ seeks a Pharmacist to support day-to-day operations in a high-volume closed-door pharmacy. You will supervise technicians, review data entry and prescriptions for accuracy, and ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

You will verify prescriptions, conduct clinical reviews, provide medication counseling by phone, and communicate with prescribers to resolve discrepancies. Requires an accredited PharmD and Missouri license; 0–3 years of relevant experience; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Active Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Entry-level to 3 years of pharmacist experience; mail-order/closed-door pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and oversee technicians.
• Review technician data entry and prescription documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with prescription transfers and ensure successful completion.
• Verify prescriptions, check drug interactions and dosing before dispensing.
• Provide medication counseling to patients by phone; address questions about new meds and refills.
• Communicate with prescribers to resolve discrepancies and clinical concerns.
• Collaborate with leadership to maintain efficient workflow and quality/service standards.
• Follow all state/federal regulations and internal policies.
