Job summary

Borinquen Medical Centers in Miami, Florida seeks a full-time Pharmacist to join our fast-paced pharmacy team. You will oversee dispensing accuracy, supervise pharmacy staff, and ensure compliance with state and FDA regulations, including REMS where applicable.

You will collaborate with prescribers, counsel patients, manage drug procurement, and participate in prior authorization processes while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BSc in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Active Florida pharmacist license in good standing with no restrictions.
• Pharmacy practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescription orders and obtain necessary information from prescribers or patients.
• Provide direct supervision of pharmacy staff.
• Verify prescription order entry, labeling, and filling of medications.
• Ensure REMS and regulatory compliance in dispensing.
• Counsel patients on medications and potential interactions.
• Collaborate with prescribers to optimize drug therapy.
• Assist with drug procurement and prior authorizations.
