Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited College/School of Pharmacy with BS Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacy license in applicable state; additional state licenses preferred.
• Ability to obtain licensure in additional states as required.
• Knowledge of drugs, indications, interactions, dosing and side effects.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of accreditation & certification requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical drug policies and regulations.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic patient assessments and referrals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and oversee dispensing of prescription medications to patients.
• Evaluate generic substitution when appropriate.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls for patient care and product distribution.
• Review prescription orders for dosage, interactions, and administration route.
• Supervise filling, receiving, and dispensing activities.
• Ensure patient charts capture allergies and medical history.
• Provide patient counseling, education, and monitoring.
• Ensure safety and adherence to pharmacy practices.
• Manage inventory to avoid waste and determine doses on hand.
• Provide clinical interventions and monitor therapy responses.
• Assist healthcare professionals with clinical and technical needs.
• Document communications in patient charts.
• Maintain required paperwork per regulators and Joint Commission.
• Assist in procedures and supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
• Participate in Performance Improvement projects.
• Contribute to in-service education for clinicians and staff.
• Attend trainings and review relevant literature.
• Complete competency assessments and participate in on-call when needed.
• Respond to patient/practitioner inquiries about drug indications and safety.
• Maintain safekeeping of pharmaceuticals and recordkeeping systems.
• Follow departmental policies, QA objectives, and safety protocols.
