Job summary

Competitive base pay starts at the entry point of the range, $21.32 per hour, with a pay range from $21.32 to $24.52 and opportunities for growth through annual increases and promotions.

This part-time role requires 23 hours per week, with shifts Tue–Sat, occasional opening/closing duties, and monthly team meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys.
• Passion to learn about dogs, cats and small animals.
• Genuinely welcoming and friendly demeanor.
• Strong integrity and good judgment.
• Willingness to learn and grow with Mud Bay.
• Team player with flexible scheduling adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Provides a happy, educational, and fun experience for all who visit our stores
• Engages dog and cat owners in conversation and helps them find solutions for their animals
• Contributes to sales growth by offering holistic solutions for long-term health
• Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently
• Performs keyholder duties, including opening/closing the store and registers
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of the store area
• Maintains inventory, including receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing
• Supports team learning and open communication
• Works a flexible schedule and may operate across multiple locations
