Job summary

Mud Bay Inc. Beaverton store is hiring a Store Staff Member to deliver an outstanding experience for dogs and cats. You’ll engage customers, assist with purchases, and keep the sales floor welcoming and organized.

This is a part-time role with ~15 hours/week, mainly closing shifts Thu/Fri/Sat and occasional cross-location coverage. Starting pay is $21.32/hour, with a range to $24.52, and potential for raises and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys.
• Has a passion to continuously learn about dogs, cats and small animals.
• Instinctively gracious and customer-focused.
• Highly accountable and trustworthy.
• Uses good judgment and acts ethically.
• A self-starter, but willing to take direction and learn from others.
• A team player and flexible to store needs.
• Interested in building a career with Mud Bay.

Responsibilities

• Provides a happy, educational, and fun experience for all who visit our stores.
• Engages dog and cat owners, building rapport and offering solutions.
• Contributes to sales growth with holistic animal-health solutions.
• Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently.

• Continues learning about dogs, cats and small animals.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of the store.
• Maintains inventory including receiving, rotating, and facing.
• Helps the team learn and grow with feedback and open communication.
• Works in multiple locations as needed and supports store coverage.
