Job summary

Mud Bay is seeking store staff in Lynnwood, WA to welcome dog and cat owners and provide solutions for their pets. You will engage customers, perform transactions, and keep the sales floor clean and inviting.

Two part-time roles offer 16 hours/week with varied weekend and weekday shifts, opportunities to learn about animals, and benefits like PTO, 401(k), and ESOP through Mud Bay’s programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys.
• Interest in learning about dogs, cats, and small animals.
• Genuine hospitality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provides a happy, educational, and fun experience for all who visit our stores.
• Engages dog and cat owners, connects personally, and helps meet animal needs.
• Contributes to sales growth by offering holistic, long-term animal health solutions.
• Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently, including opening/closing registers.
• Makes decisions aligned with Mud Bay's mission and values.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of the store and sales area.
• Maintains inventory including receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing.
• Supports team learning and growth with feedback and open communication.
• Is comfortable with retail scheduling and working across locations.
