Job summary

Shields Health Care in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a PET technologist for part-time or per diem work. You will operate PET equipment to produce images, maintain patient safety, and provide a compassionate, efficient exam experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The schedule includes Saturdays 6am-4:30pm and/or 7am-5:30pm. The role requires a state license, CPR certification, ARRT/NMTCB registration, and at least one year of nuclear medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which employed.
• CPR certification is required.
• ARRT and/or NMTCB registration is required.
• Minimum of one year nuclear medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
• Follow all policies to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Perform hot lab responsibilities.
• Position patient for exams and ensure comfort.
• Record exam data in the Tech Data Entry system.
• Provide and issue films when appropriate.
• Forward PET data to Radiologist after exam.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
