Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a part-time Banking Associate in Westminster, MD to deliver exceptional customer service and guidance on financial solutions that serve customers' best interests. You will welcome customers, identify needs, and steer conversations toward digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, fast, and personal.

You will work with branch teammates and partners to drive referrals, support everyday banking and credit card needs, and ensure accurate, compliant service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
• Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales role, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
• Passionate commitment to helping customers and delivering a personal experience.
• Drive to deliver results in a consultative, team-based environment.
• Resourceful self-starter with courage to approach customers.
• Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good organization and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer relationship.
• Welcomes and guides customers and promotes digital/self-serve options for easy banking.
• Contributes to client conversations about banking services and recommends alternative channels and personal banking/advice.
• Meets customer transaction-based needs with seamless execution.
• Reviews customer profiles to address everyday banking and credit card needs.
• Supports operational activities and branch processes; may work across multiple branches.
• Acts as a key member of a collaborative branch and market team.
• Probes to understand customer needs and integrates promotions into conversations.
• Looks for ways to improve the overall customer experience and business results.
