Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living is seeking two Personal Assistants to provide 2:1 support for a 20-year-old in the Ferndale area. The role includes enabling him to engage in activities he enjoys and accompanying him on outings to build independence.

Hours total 20 per week, split between two PAs, daytime hours with flexibility across 3–4 days. A trial period, National Insurance number, monthly pay and DBS check are required; costs covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to support someone with ASD and Pathological Demand Avoidance.
• Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle with business-class insurance may be required.
• Patience and reliability to work with challenging behaviour.
