Job summary

Personal Assistant required for up to 18 hours per week in Walderslade at £14.50 per hour. The role supports a gentleman with multiple health conditions, helping with mobility, transport, nutrition and engagement in social activities.

DBS check and references are provided; a driving license is essential and a car is preferred. Ideal candidates are calm, reliable, compassionate and discreet, capable of adapting to fluctuating health needs while maintaining independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care, support work, or a personal assistant role is desirable.
• Understanding of long-term health conditions and their impact on daily living is valued.
• Calm, patient, respectful and adaptable approach.
• Physically able to assist with light to moderate mobility support.
• Confident driver with a clean or near-clean driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support tailored to fluctuating health needs.
• Support the use of a mobility scooter, including handling, storage, and transport.
• Drive the client to appointments, errands and social activities; full UK driving license required.
• Assist with meal preparation and light snacks aligned to dietary needs.
• Encourage healthy eating and hydration throughout the day.
• Help access social opportunities and community activities related to health interests.
• Support independence, dignity and quality of life.
• Monitor fatigue and pain levels, and adapt to changing capabilities.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing at all times.
