Ideal candidates have 5+ years in performing arts or equivalent experience, plus 1–2 years teaching. Commitment to inclusion and ongoing training is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of formal training in performing arts or comparable experience.
• 1–2 years of teaching and/or teaching assistant experience.
• Instruct beginning and intermediate classes.
• Teach ages preschool through adult with diverse populations.
• Arts access should be open to everyone regardless of level.

Responsibilities

• Follow/Implement YMCA quality standards and Well Being dimensions in Youth Programming.
• Create progressive class lesson plans aligned with ages and abilities.
• Ensure materials/content reflect YMCA mission and community service.
• Provide lesson plans, supply list, and budget to Arts Director as requested.
• Participate in performances, Arts Week events, and YMCA activities.
• Communicate program information and student progress effectively.
