Job summary

Washtenaw Community College seeks Part-Time Peer Tutors to serve as model students for tutoring across Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Math, Social Sciences, and languages. Tutors will use Canvas, Zoom, and Office tools to assist students in both online and in-person formats.

Responsibilities include facilitating learning, delivering workshops, and directing students to campus resources. Regular on-campus presence is required, with 8–15 hours weekly during academic terms and variable summer

Qualifications

Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in college coursework.
Computer proficiency.
Willingness to remain current on course materials as determined by faculty.
Encourage student success by creating an environment of belonging and high achievement.

Responsibilities

Familiarity with course content and study strategies within assigned disciplines.
Facilitate student learning by clarifying course content and promoting independent study.
