Job summary

Columbia River Mental Health Services seeks a part-time Peer Support Counselor to provide direct peer support within an integrated treatment team. You will help clients articulate recovery goals, promote self-advocacy, and guide engagement with community resources to support ongoing recovery and independent living.

The role emphasizes modeling recovery, facilitating mutual support groups, and assisting with plan development while transporting clients as needed. 20 hours/week, $22.50–$24.24/hour.

Qualifications

• Direct peer support experience in behavioral health or related setting.
• Ability to document outcomes in service plans and coordinate care.
• Willingness to transport and assist clients to access community resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in articulating personal recovery goals.
• Document in the service plan the peer services provided and objectives.
• Lead peer support and recovery-focused group activities.
• Assist clients in creating Wellness Recovery Action Plans.
• Coordinate housing and employment needs with community services.
• Maintain confidentiality of participant information.
