The Lord’s Place in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an Emergency Shelter Peer Specialist for a part-time role up to 29 hours per week. You will provide recovery-support services, help develop individualized wellness plans, and coordinate with local agencies to link participants to housing and services.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and experience in peer support; CRPS certification is preferred and training is offered as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) preferred; eligible or willing to obtain certification encouraged.
• Background screening required (Level Two).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsabilités

• Assists in a variety of support activities including one-on-one recovery support, housing-focused peer support, prosocial activities, peer support groups, peer recovery, and psycho-educational groups for participants.
• Collaboratively develops a strength-based wellness and recovery plan with participants to overcome barriers to recovery.
• Develops relationships with agencies and community resources to respond and advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Provides transportation for participants within Palm Beach County.
• Documents all activities in agency client databases.
• Attends supervision and multidisciplinary meetings and participates in special events and trainings.
