Job summary

ATTIC Correctional Services, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks a Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical, pro-recovery guidance to residential clients.

You will mentor clients using lived experience to encourage sobriety and reintegration, and you will run weekly groups on community resources, employment, and life skills. The role requires a Wisconsin Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach certification and at least one year in social services or reentry work, with strong boundaries and safety

Qualifications

• Certification as a Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach under Wisconsin statutes.
• At least one year of experience in social services, reentry or recovery services.
• Experience providing peer support to justice-involved individuals preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to mentor clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to set boundaries and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide pro-recovery, pro-social support to residential clients weekly.
• Facilitate weekly groups focusing on community resources, employment, and skills.
• Connect clients to community resources and assist with daily living and life skills.
• Assist with goal-setting and progress monitoring.
• Maintain safety and boundaries per ACS policies.
