Cortica Care in Marin County, CA is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering Cortica’s Whole Child Approach to children with neurodevelopmental differences.

You will assess, treat, and support families through in-person clinic sessions and telehealth, collaborate with therapists, educators, and physicians, document meticulously, and contribute to autism diagnostic insight while prioritizing safety, HIPAA, and family-centered goals.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice.
• Master’s degree in related field.
• First aid/CPR training.
• TB clearance.
• Ability to complete safety training within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain licensure in other states Cortica operates in, as needed.
• Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
• Passion for working with children.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Responsabilités

• Establish OT treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessments aligned to Cortica’s Whole Child Approach.
• Collaborate with transdisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and co-treat sessions as clinically appropriate.
• Contribute to autism diagnostic process by providing clinical insights and administering standardized assessments (e.g., ADOS).
• Deliver in-clinic and telehealth services as appropriate.
• Complete documentation within Cortica’s timelines.
• Use neurodiversity affirming, play- and goal-based interventions.
• Facilitate functional, child-led experiences to reach goals.
• Apply transdisciplinary care strategies to support daily living occupations.
• Engage families to understand values and goals; tailor programs accordingly.
• Account for sensory, motor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social aspects in programming.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and generalization activities.
• Attend rounds, care meetings, workshops, site meetings, and discipline trainings.
• Follow Cortica crisis procedures, including de-escalation and reporting.
• Utilize EMR systems and MS Office to manage documentation and communication.
