Job summary

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is hiring a part-time Pediatric Dentist for NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The role focuses on pediatric care, including fluoride, sealants, restorations, endodontics and extractions with behavior guidance and sedation as needed.

The position involves supervising dental residents, didactic teaching, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA standards within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree and active NY State Dental License.
• Specialization in pediatric dentistry with board eligibility/board certification preferred.
• Experience with pediatric patients and sedation techniques is valued.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Provide pediatric dental care including fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, endodontics, and extractions with behavior guidance and sedation as needed.
• Supervise residents, deliver didactic instruction, and contribute to evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA standards are met.
