Rappahannock Community College invites applications for a Part-Time Patient Care Technician Adjunct Instructor at its Glenns, Warsaw, or Kilmarnock Satellite Campus. The instructor leads classroom sessions, guides skills labs, and supervises clinical rotations in diverse healthcare settings.

Requirements include an active RN license in Virginia (or compact), two years of RN experience with at least one year in long-term care, and a willingness to teach at multiple campus locations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or multistate compact.
• Minimum two years RN experience and at least one year direct client care or supervision in long-term care.
• Evidence of Nurse Aide Train-the-Trainer course or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire.
• Willingness and ability to teach at Warsaw, Glenns, or Kilmarnock campuses.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on skills labs at one or more campus sites.
• Teach core PCT and Nurse Aide competencies including activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and basic diagnostic/clinical skills.
• Supervise students during clinical rotations at regional healthcare agencies and ensure safety and infection control.
• Evaluate student progress and readiness for Virginia State Board of Nursing Nurse Aide exam and CCMA exam.
