Job summary

Southeast Community College is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist (PT) in Lincoln, NE. You will handle biweekly and monthly payrolls, administer benefits and leave, generate direct deposits, and manage records with strict confidentiality.

The role requires accuracy and strong customer service, with cross‑campus collaboration as needed. Normal hours are 29 per week, with schedule flexibility and adherence to college policies.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical aptitude with accuracy in payroll data entry and reconciliation.
• Associate’s degree or two years of related coursework.
• Three years’ experience in accounting, payroll, benefits, or finance.
• CPP certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly and monthly payrolls and generate paychecks and direct deposits.
• Administer benefits, leave accruals, and payroll-related corrections.
• Prepare required payroll reports and maintain records.
• Respond to employee benefit inquiries and ensure compliance.
