Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a part-time Driver - Patient Transportation in Auburn Hills, MI. You will coordinate and schedule transport using hospital vehicles, ensuring safe patient movement and documentation.

You will drive adult, adolescent, and child patients to services, assist them on/off the van, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle while communicating with families and care teams. This role requires mobility and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• No violations for driving without insurance, reckless driving, vehicular homicide or leaving scene of an accident.
• No convictions for DUI or DWI within past 7 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations or 2 at-fault accidents in past 3 years.
• Physical ability to assist patients and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Experience transporting individuals in a mental health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule authorized use of hospital vehicle to transport patients.
• Drive hospital vehicles to transport adult, adolescent, and child patients using maps or GPS.
• Escort and assist patients on/off the vehicle and into designated areas.
• Maintain safe, sanitary environment in hospital vehicles; perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Record data on maintenance and mileage logs.
• Communicate professionally with guardians, family members and providers outside the hospital.
• Keep facility/grounds free of trash and debris; light housekeeping in admin areas.
• Attend mandatory training and follow hospital policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
