Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Part-time Patient Transporter to move patients to and from tests, procedures, and admissions, ensuring safety and timely delivery. Under supervision, you will assist with moving patients in beds or wheelchairs and operate mobility equipment according to policy.

You will work 7:00pm–7:30am with 48 hours per pay period, weekends required. A high school diploma or GED and a current BLS certification are preferred, along with prior related healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three months of job-related experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Prior related medical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient transport to tests, procedures, and admissions.
• Assists patients in and out of bed, to wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Uses transfer devices and protective equipment per hospital policies.
• Demonstrates proper body mechanics and safety awareness.
• Maintains communication with supervisor and team; adheres to policies and procedures.
• Cleans mobility equipment after use and follows infection-control guidelines.
• Observes patient responses and reports to appropriate personnel.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Ensures HIPAA and OSHA compliance in daily work.
