Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a part-time Transport Aide to move patients between clinical and non-clinical areas, provide observation and companionship, and assist with basic activities of daily living as directed. You will help with equipment, transfers, and ensuring smooth patient flow in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• HS/GED and BLS required.
• Less than 1 year experience in hospital setting; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental policies and procedures for transport activities.
• Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers/gurneys, and appropriate equipment.
• Handle patient transfers between hospital units and to/from other units.
• Retrieve, store and transport oxygen cylinders; monitor equipment alarms.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation as needed and help with basic ADLs as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and complete necessary paperwork for transport.
