OncoLogics in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Patient Concierge. This role greets patients and families, verifies demographics and insurance, answers phones, and schedules provider appointments. You may assist at the Lafayette location as needed.

Typical hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am-4/5pm, with potential extra hours. Strong customer service and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to type 40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.

• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.

What Patient Concierge contributes to Cardinal Health
Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.

The Patient Concierge is the first point of contact for patients and family members at OncoLogics. This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.

This position will work primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-4/5pm, depending on need. There is the opportunity for this person to pick up additional hours during the week, as needed. They may be asked to cover patient concierge duties at OncoLogics' other location in Lafayette.
