Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the ND Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Administer basic health care and medical treatments; assist with activities of daily living.
• Prepare patient treatment areas and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste per policy.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
