Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our inpatient team. The role focuses on patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision in a fast-paced Med-Surg setting and offers opportunities to grow within a large not-for-profit health system.

The position is Part time with 20 weekly hours, varying shifts, and incentives for pickup shifts. A CNA is preferred; ND/WI registry requirements apply as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry within 4 months of employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy
