Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking Nursing Assistants and Patient Care Technicians to deliver high-quality patient care on our 12-hour shift General Medicine unit. This role supports the care team and ensures a safe, comfortable environment for patients in a teaching hospital setting.

You'll assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, perform EKGs and specimen collections, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and discharge planning staff as needed.

Qualifications

• All inexperienced hired candidates must complete a mandatory training course with full attendance.
• Role involves routine patient care under nurses/physicians, including ADLs and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care and support department services according to established policies and procedures.
• Assist with ADLs, vital signs, EKGs, bladder scans, and specimen collections as directed by the care team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in rounds and discharge planning as applicable.
