Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is hiring Nursing Assistants and Patient Care Technicians to provide direct patient care and support across multiple units in Pittsburgh.

Roles involve assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, injections and specimen collections, all under RN/MD supervision. A paid training program is offered, with full benefits and opportunities for growth within the Transplant & Inpatient Surgery Service Division.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of UPMC Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician training program (EIC).
• CNA/EMT/Paramedic preferred or enrollment in related program.

Responsibilities

• Routinely perform nursing assistant responsibilities including ADLs (bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning).
• Perform point of care testing, weights, vital signs, I&O, telemetry monitoring, and urine collection.
• Assist with 12-lead EKG, bladder scan, and specimen collections.
• Provide care under direction of nurses/physicians and support unit activities and safety.
