UF Health Shands Homecare in Gainesville, FL is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to support the Registered Nurse with routine procedures and patient care. The role focuses on advocacy, safety, and autonomous nursing practice within a trusted care team.

The PCA will contribute to high-quality patient care, participate in collaborative rounds, and uphold the organization’s mission of excellent nursing service while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active CNA, EMT or Paramedic credentials.
• CNA with high school diploma or equivalent and patient care experience preferred.
• Nursing student enrolled in an approved program may qualify.
• NCLEX status: awaiting authorization acceptable for current employees.
• CNAs in CNA training with instructor recommendation are eligible.
