Job summary

UF Health Shands Homecare in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for a full-time role with a 6:45am–7:15pm shift (36 hours/week). The PCA provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and helps sustain a safe, clean environment while delivering service excellence to patients and families.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, with BLS certification and ability to read/write English.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply hospital computer technologies and procedures affecting patient care.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and standard precautions; reads/writes in English.
