Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will perform activities of daily living, assist with vital signs, and help ensure safe, compassionate care across units.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and a preferred practicum in a clinical setting. AHA Heartsaver AED is required; non-licensed staff must obtain before completing orientation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Paid or practicum experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Credentials: AHA Heartsaver AED.
• Language: Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication.
• Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assists with CPR under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Documents patient care activities and data using forms or information systems.
• Performs activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, grooming and oral care.
• Reinforces discharge teaching and patient self-care activities.
• Assists with admission, transfer, or discharge of patients.
• Observes patients for significant changes and communicates to the RN.
