Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in insurance verification or medical office/hospital customer service.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet, pre-register and register patients in a courteous, professional manner.
• Verify insurance benefits; check for pre-certification, authorization and referral needs.
• Secure patient signatures for required forms and collect financial responsibility when required.
• Rotate into various areas of Patient Access and support revenue-cycle related communications.
