Job summary

Trinity Health Nazareth Hospital seeks a Patient Access Rep to greet and register patients, verify insurance, and coordinate pre-certification and referrals in a rotating, part-time schedule at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

The role requires HS diploma (associate degree preferred) and outpatient registration experience, with HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire. Per diem and weekend/holiday coverage may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency.
• Associate degree (Preferred).
• Minimum one year experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service.
• Must have Outpatient Registration experience.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet, pre-register and/or register patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Verify insurance benefits and check for pre-certification, authorization and referral as needed.
• Secure patient signatures for required forms and collect financial responsibility when required.
• Provide professional, quality customer service and timely resolution to customer problems.
• Communicate revenue cycle related issues to patients, physicians, physician office staff and other hospital colleagues.
