Job summary

Insight Chicago Inc. seeks a Part-Time Registration Clerk to efficiently register patients across clinic, lab, inpatient, outpatient, or ED settings.

Responsibilities include collecting demographic data, verifying insurance, posting payments, and guiding patients and staff with appropriate questions. The role requires handling calls via the switchboard system and maintaining professional customer relations.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• 1 year of medical registration, customer service or collection experience preferred
• Confidentiality and HIPAA knowledge
• Excellent phone and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with computers; strong typing and desktop navigation

Responsibilities

• Register patients and pre-register; handle walk-in outpatient scheduling and payment collection.
• Use insurance verification system to verify benefits and determine copays/coinsurance.
• Call patients for information related to registration, billing and financial responsibility.
• Assist patients with general benefit questions and post payments to accounts.
• Maintain accuracy and meet KPI-based productivity and quality standards.
