Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire.
• Additional qualifications: Medical terminology and knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding.
• Insurance verification with ability to explain benefits and secure necessary authorization.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for outpatient and inpatient services; verify insurance details.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and ensure adherence to Medicare and payer prerequisites.
• Provide general information to patients, families and physician offices.
• Produce and analyze reports; support performance improvement and data-driven decisions.
