Job summary

The City of Brenham is seeking a part-time Parks Maintenance Worker to perform daily maintenance tasks and assist Parks Department personnel with repairs of park athletic fields and facilities.

The position pays $12.00 per hour for up to 20 hours per week with a rotating schedule. A valid Texas driver’s license is required; applicants must be at least 17 to handle small equipment and 18 to operate larger equipment or city vehicles.

• Maintains and prepares parks and athletic fields for public use.
• Operates lawn equipment.
• Repairs and replaces vital facility sports equipment, including nets, batting cages, and wind screens.
• Assists other city departments as needed.
• Maintains and cleans park grounds on a weekend basis such as cleaning public restrooms and removing litter.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This is a non-supervisory position.

Valid Texas driver's license required. Must be at least 17 years of age to be considered to handle small equipment. Must be at least 18 years of age to operate larger equipment or operate a motor vehicle for City of Brenham business.
