Job summary

The City of Menifee seeks a part-time Maintenance Attendant to support park, landscape, and facility upkeep under supervision. This role offers hands-on outdoor work, opportunities to assist skilled trades, and customer service to residents visiting city facilities.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of maintenance experience, and be at least 18 years old. A valid CA driver’s license is required by appointment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of paid maintenance/groundskeeping or similar manual labor experience.
• Candidate must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks such as digging ditches, trenches, and potholes; load/unload dirt and materials.
• Maintain landscaped areas by weeding, raking, watering, and caring for plants and flowers.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining athletic fields, including grading baseball diamonds.
• Support building maintenance activities like painting, moving furniture, and minor repairs.
• Assist skilled workers on various trades as needed.
• Prepare facilities for reservations by cleaning, sweeping, and posting signage.
• Operate City vehicles and equipment as assigned.
