Job summary

York County Government is hiring a part-time Assistant Park Ranger (29 hours per week) to help keep Allison Creek Park safe, clean, and well maintained for campers, boaters, and day-use visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and CPR/First Aid/BPP/AED certifications. Prior related experience is preferred and flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification, First Aid Certification, BBP certification, AED Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Constant monitoring of park property for safety hazards.
• Drive between County parks and county trucks to collect trash when needed.
• Respond to problems with electrical/water systems and repairs.
• Remove trash and debris from parks using equipment.
• Provide information to visitors on fish, wildlife, boating, and local history.
