Job summary

The Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a certified Park Ranger to provide visitor service and protection across county parks. You will assist pavilion rental customers, answer questions, enforce park rules, and help safeguard park resources and facilities as part of a dedicated team.

This role is classified as an Essential Employee. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree in Parks and Recreation or related field with 1 year experience, or equivalent training, and

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Parks and Recreation or related field with 1 year park ranger experience, or equivalent training.
• Ability to operate park facilities equipment and basic maintenance tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong written/oral communication.
• Good customer service and public safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol park grounds to address visitor issues and identify problem areas.
• Provide friendly service: unlock facilities, check-in rental customers, answer questions.
• Enforce Park Rules and Regulations and issue warnings or citations as needed.
• Maintain daily logs and incident reports for the division.
