Job summary

City of Jacksonville parks department is seeking personnel to perform clerical, customer service and semi-skilled maintenance tasks in the upkeep and repair of park grounds. The role requires following standard routines and working with common equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate office equipment and park machinery, maintain records and reports, and apply safety procedures. This on-site position requires courtesy and effective communication with the public and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of office and cash handling practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of general maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Knowledge of rules, regulations, principles, and procedures governing construction and maintenance activities at a public park.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and occupational hazards for construction and maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of first aid principles and methods and skill in their application.
• Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining maintenance and revenue records and reports.
