Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business or related field; 2 years parish or business experience preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office.
• Knowledge of basic accounting practices and regulations.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices, receipts, reimbursements, etc. for approval and coding.
• Post all approved and coded transactions in Parish QuickBooks.
• Ensure checks are printed/paid from proper parish accounts and timely.
• Post payroll journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support internal controls.
