Job summary

The Paraprofessional (teacher's aide) at The Excel Center, operated by Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., provides in-person academic assistance, guidance, and classroom support to students on the northeast side of Indianapolis. You will help coordinate school operations, assist with credit-recovery programs, and maintain attendance records to promote an organized learning environment.

• Tutoring experience or ability to explain concepts clearly to high school students.
• Strong academic mindset and commitment to helping students succeed.
• Excellent communication, in-person and written, with staff and students.
• Ability to work in a team to support graduation outcomes and enrollment goals.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities in a school setting.
• Proficiency with G Suite, MS Office, and school information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person academic assistance and reinforce coursework for students.
• Assist with enrollment, attendance, and information tracking in the SIS.
• Support on-site classroom operations and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with teachers and staff to support student achievement and standards.
• Monitor testing and attendance during class periods and independent study.
