Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Part-time Paramedic to join the EMS transport team. The role requires providing advanced life support care and direct patient care across all ages under medical direction, with duties including transport, documentation, and maintaining readiness of equipment.

Minimum requirements include an active Paramedic license in Indiana, BLS, PALS and ACLS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Active Paramedic license through the Indiana DHS.
• BLS certification.
• PALS & ACLS certifications issued by AHA or ARC.
• Other certifications as required by IDHS.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within department protocols and scope of practice.
• Initiates actions to alleviate patient stress and discomfort.
• Recognizes and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Completes required documentation and patient care reports in a timely manner.
• Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains conditions of care.
• Performs ambulance transportation within paramedic scope.
• Sets priorities for transport of multiple patients.
• Coordinates resources and delivery plans.
• Manages workload for efficient time/resource use.
• Maintains vehicle knowledge and readiness; ensures ambulance is clean and stocked.
