Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with experience working with children.
• Paraprofessional Certification required by CA State.
• Ability to perform routine clerical tasks and use instructional support equipment.

• Reinforce instruction in assigned learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce teacher's lessons by reviewing material and reading stories.
• Observe and supervise students in various instructional settings.
• Discipline students per district policies and procedures.
• Distribute lunch to students as assigned.
• Prepare instructional materials (cutting, laminating, etc.).
• Keep attendance and grade records up to date.
• Help maintain neat, safe learning spaces.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Support students during field trips and classroom activities.
• Proctor tests and record scores.
