Job summary

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking a Part-Time Overnight Client Care Specialist in Brainerd, MN to support female clients in the Life Renewal/IOL program. The CCS provides compassionate, client-centered oversight on overnights, ensuring safety, coordinating activities, and reporting observations to staff.

This role emphasizes trauma-informed care, spiritual support, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Course of study in health/human services leading to BA/BS or associate degree or related experience.
• Experience with vulnerable adults or mental health peer support is preferred.
• Commitment to MnTC's Culture of Honor and related values is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, client-centered care on living and programming floors.
• Be first point of contact for client questions and shift updates.
• Maintain a safe, calm floor environment and de-escalate when needed.
• Observe client mood and behaviors and report to staff promptly.
• Assist with intake/discharges and medication management under supervision.
• Support transportation and safety during outings and appointments.
• Uphold program policies and complete required training.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Health/human services degree course work up to BA/BS or associate

Experience with vulnerable adults
