Job summary

Berks County PA is seeking a Program Assistant to support and assist in the development and implementation of outdoor recreation programs and events. The role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising educational activities, workshops, and tours across County parks.

Under supervision, you will aid in scheduling, partnerships, and volunteer management while contributing to concerts, festivals, and community events. Weekend/evening shifts and fieldwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, landscape architecture, environmental studies, or related field preferred.
• One year of outdoor recreation-related and customer service experience in a public program setting preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementation, and supervision of Parks-sponsored events such as concerts and festivals.
• Assist in planning and supervising outdoor recreation and environmental education programs (nature hikes, boating safety, etc.).
• Support development of new outdoor programs through research and analysis.
