Job summary

Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA in Concord, NC is seeking a part-time Farm Maintenance staff member. Responsibilities include grounds care, weed control, trash removal, mowing, and pressure washing. Must pass YMCA background checks and obtain CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days. Outdoor work with lifting up to 30 lbs is required.

Excellent customer service and effective communication with members and staff are essential. This role is non-exempt and part-time, with pay in the $11.00–$14.00/hour range.

Qualifications

• Must pass YMCA background checks.
• Able to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of employment.
• Must be service oriented and communicate effectively with members and staff.
• Must be physically capable of outdoor work and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Weed control including weed spraying and weed eating.
• Trash pickup and removal.
• Pressure washing and general grounds maintenance.
• Mowing and landscaping (mulch).
• Follow cleaning chart and YMCA policies.
• Learn and follow emergency procedures.
