Job summary

Wayside is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Framingham site on a part-time basis, serving youth and families referred by the Department of Mental Health. The role involves assessments, plan development, and direct OT intervention within the IHBTC service, with a focus on family-centered practice.

Applicants should hold a Master's in Occupational Therapy and MA licensure or be in process, have experience with youth mental health, and be able to drive in the community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and MA licensure or obtaining prior to start.
• Experience serving youth with significant mental health needs.
• Experience addressing functioning in home or community settings.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, treatment plan development, and direct intervention to youths and families seeking OT support within their IHBTC service.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to set therapy goals and ensure these goals are met.
• Work with a diverse team to support treatment plans, safety planning and crisis intervention.
• Provide consultation for direct intervention focused on addressing the functional goals of the client.
• Provide education and consult support to clinical staff, the youths, and their families/caregivers.
• Provide home strategies and recommendations to families as well as in-home services if applicable.
